1.31.5 EU4 Speed run. World Conquer in 50 Years. World Record.

I'd like to share my EU4 WC which I believe is the fastest in game time WC record: WC in May.1495, took 50 years 6 months.

Use Oirat, normal difficulty, Ironman, 1.31.5 with full DLC.

I learnt a lot from this community (e.g. Lambda Revoke), so would like to share my experience here as well.

Posted in Youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKrL2W5ouOQ&t=2s with brief introduction about how I make it. Welcome to check the details.

    Cover page of Youtube video

    Timeline summary:

    1470: Revoke Privileges

1474: Finish 1st total war, form Manchu, Bavaria

1479: Finish 2nd total war, form Golden Horde, Timurid, Siam

1483: Finish 3rd total war, form 14 countries ending with Mongolia Empire

1495: Conquered other countries in New World, reform HRE, world conquered

    Thanks.

The US should get Siberian Frontiers as a national idea

    Posted: 03 Nov 2021 10:38 AM PDT

The United States have good national ideas by in large (link), but there is one glaring issue. The third idea is called Manifest Destiny, which is great. That is a fantastic name and an important part of the American identity. There are two problems with this though. The first problem is Manifest Destiny only gives them a colonist and they have no other colonizing buffs. This is not enough colonizing power for them to colonize anywhere close to what they did in history. In the span of 100 years the US went from consisting of the Eastern seaboard to spanning the breadth of the continent. I challenge anyone to try and manage to accomplish this feat in 100 years.

The second problem is in how using a colonist to colonize in EU4 differs from how the US actually colonized. The US's expansion west was a continually process of expanding into the bordering lands. A colonist doesn't allow expansion to occur like this. I'd understand the inclusion of a colonist in the national ideas if the Siberian frontiers mechanic didn't exist, but it does and it represents the history of the expansion much more accurately.

The only reason I can come up with for using a colonist to represent manifest destiny instead of Siberian frontiers is because Siberian frontiers is too over powered of an idea to give to a nation. However, we all know that Russia has this idea and forms in most games. Yes this usually results in them forming an extremely powerful nation, but they aren't some unstoppable nation. The thing is I have never seen the US form in my 2600+ hours of playing this game. So, even if you were worried about the formation of an extremely powerful, but not unstoppable nation, your fears are unfounded. This leaves the only explanation as to why the US doesn't have Siberian frontiers is that paradox doesn't want a player to get an nation with Siberian frontiers with a capital in the new world. That's it. The thing is a player controlled US with this ability wouldn't be anymore OP than many nations already in the game (Manchu, Mughals, Russia, Ottomans, Austria, France, England, Spain, Ming).

I think the inclusion Siberian frontiers in the US's national ideas would make a fun reward for taking the steps necessary to form them. There aren't a lot of actual rewards for playing as a new world nation and this would be a great way to spice up playing in the new world.

Which Country gets the most claims?

    Posted: 03 Nov 2021 01:42 AM PDT

Which country in our blessed eu4 gets the most claims on provinces. It doesn't matter if they get them through missions, formation or any other way. I don't know the exact numbers, but if i had to guess, i would say the horde missions, that uzbek, nogai and the hordes have, give you the most claims.

Tip for playing in the HRE

    Posted: 03 Nov 2021 09:21 AM PDT

Want to annex a free city, but don't want to get too much ae? Declare on one of their allies, 100% ws them, and give them one of your provinces. They will turn into an oligarchy, and you'll get your province back when the emperor demands unlawful territory on them. Then, when your truce runs out, declare on them directly. That way, you can declare on them without the emperor getting involved, and you can take their province without getting the extra ae from taking land from non-cobelligerents

The only reasonable explanation for the awful performance since Leviathan.

I recently reverted to 1.30.6 and the game honestly runs twice as fast. What did they do? Are the new favour mechanic that crazy expensive to calculate or what?
