Not even 10 years into the game and RNGesus gave me the Burgundian inheritance as England. I was going to play as the USA.

If you've never played a campaign from 1444 to 1821 or can't do it, play one of the Hawaii minors, conquer Hawaii and then AFK to 1821

Is it sound that the Prussians can comfortably beat almost every other nation?

    Posted: 25 Sep 2021 05:18 AM PDT

So i'm not here to doubt that the Prussian Army was exemplary IRL, but to me it seems rather odd that it's capable of beating every other nation in the game comfortably. As an example, during the seven years war while they pretty much floored the austrians, they still got pushed back and were on the brink of defeat, they should've lost but instead we got a proto wheraboo on the Russia throne so yeah. Yet Prussia can easily beat France, Austria and Russia in game and will likely never even get a full state Occupied. Then there is the Napoleonic Wars where Prussia was soundly defeated over and over again, only really winning with help like at Waterloo (It's arguable the Prussians weren't even needed) Yet in game Revolutionary France, pretty much the apex of French military might will still be clapped. Why is Prussia able to do this..? To me it doesn't make much sense and i'm not entirely sure the history backs up this ability, i mean after all this is the same game where despite IRL the spanish armies being feared across europe and defeating the French over and over again before the League war, being a pushover and a laughing stock, and not getting their respective age bonus early enough imo.

Started as England, tried to pu France, got a pu over castile in 1447, easily beat France now, started war against random German nation that took burgundy, lost castile during this war. Castile gets wedding getting both naples and aragon. Release burgundy as vassle and used my CB to reinherit castile and Co, won easily enough. Contintinued getting burgundy cores, early 1500s. All west Europe as mine and 90% trade in English Channel. Time to try get anglophile. Tho I messed up strategic control

    Good nations to play?

    Posted: 25 Sep 2021 09:51 AM PDT

What nations are easy and fun to play? I'm looking for a bit of a power fantasy campaign, I'm fine with any play style but I was wondering what nations were fun to play?
