- I love economic ideas
- My first successful ironman game as Byzantium. It's sooooo difficult (for me at least)
- Never. Give. Up. Sorry for the quality. My very old campain with wallachia, back when it had 3 provinces. Lost countless wars with ottomans but that just made the victory in the end so much sweeter.
- Mecklamburgian burgundy
- TIL: Completing the Byzantium Purple Phoenix Mission "Rome Reclaimed!" gives all Catholic nations an event to switch to Orthodoxy. If the HRE's religion was Catholic up to this point, this can dismantle the HRE instantly.

- Started as Brittany and migrated to the New World, I left Europe alone for a couple hundred years and find this…

The Imperial Council - /r/eu4 Weekly General Help Thread: July 5 2021 Posted: 05 Jul 2021 06:00 AM PDT Please check our previous Imperial Council thread for any questions left unanswered
Welcome to the Imperial Council of r/eu4, where your trusted and most knowledgeable advisors stand ready to help you in matters of state and conquest. This thread is for any small questions that don't warrant their own post, or continued discussions for your next moves in your Ironman game. If you'd like to channel the wisdom and knowledge of the master tacticians of this subreddit, and more importantly not ruin your Ironman save, then you've found the right place! Important: If you are asking about a specific situation in your game, please post screenshots of any relevant map modes (diplomatic, political, trade, etc) or interface tabs (economy, military, ideas, etc). Please also explain the situation as best you can. Alliances, army strength, ideas, tech etc. are all factors your advisors will need to know to give you the best possible answer.
Tactician's Library:Below is a list of resources that are helpful to players of all skill levels, meant to assist both those asking questions as well as those answering questions. This list is updated as mechanics change, including new strategies as they arise and retiring old strategies that have been left in the dust. You can help me maintain the list by sending me new guides and notifying me when old guides are no longer relevant! Getting StartedNew Player Tutorials

If you have any useful resources not currently in the tactician's library, please share them with me and I'll add them! You can message me or mention my username in a comment by typing /u/Kloiper Calling all imperial councillors! Many of our linked guides pre-Dharma (1.26) are missing strategy regarding mission trees. Any help in putting together updated guides is greatly appreciated! Further, if you're answering a question in this thread, chances are you've used the EU4 wiki and know how valuable a resource it can be. When you answer a question, consider checking whether the wiki has that information where you would expect to find it, and adding to the wiki if it does not. In fact, anybody can help contribute to the wiki - a good starting point is the work needed page. Before editing the wiki, please read the style guidelines for posting. [link] [comments]

Posted: 04 Jul 2021 11:54 PM PDT Therefore, if the player wants to dismantle the HRE later in game, it makes sense to first defend the Catholic side during the League War. I was quite surprised when I pressed the button and the HRE just went poof. [link] [comments]

What are the developers plans for development? Posted: 05 Jul 2021 03:21 AM PDT In the current state of EUIV there are several provinces with 40-50 development by 1500-1550. And the nations owning those are more often than not some small HRE nations like cologne or lorraine. I never bothered playing further than 1600 since leviathan came out and I really don't like the situation with development that we have at the moment. I understand that it is good for tall players and overall players who simply play. But I personally often "roleplay" kind of and really hate it when the largest city in 1532 is Metz with 55 development. At the same time half of france is closing in on becoming 3 development provinces while the urbanisation goes on and on and Paris is on its way of overtaking Metz and becoming the largest city to ever exist in human history. My question is, if the developers plan to overhaul the mechanics like "concentrate development" and "pillage capital" or if they are supposed to just stay the way they are? They (together with some other things) ruined the fun I had playing EUIV and I was wondering if I should just ignore the 20 euro I spent on leviathan and return to 1.30 or if there is hope that those mechanics are changed in the near future OR IN THE BEST CASE REMOVED LIKE WHAT SENSE DOES IT MAKE THAT YOU PILLAGE THE CAPITAL OF YOUR ENEMY AND THE DEVELOPMENT SOMEHOW ENDS UP IN YOURS??? SINCE WHEN WAS THAT A COMMON PRACTICE IN HISTORY??? AND HOW DOES THAT EVEN WORK? DO MY SOLDIERS BE LIKE "YEAH WE TAKE THAT BRIDGE FROM PRAGUE AND PUT IT UP IN VIENNA" AND THIS IS SOMEHOW WRITTEN IN THE PEACE TREATY??? So does anybody know if there are gonna be changes? :) Sorry for any errors in my english, its my second language. Thanks for any answers in advance :) [link] [comments]
