- Paradox used to sell the monthly DLC subscription in Chile for only 24CLP, which amounts to 0.03 USD.
- Was having a good game with Castille, then decided to go eat dinner and turn my game off for a bit. Now when I return I get the ole "Game has failed to launch" red triangle of doom. Even tried uninstalling, reverting back to older versions, just won't open anymore :(

EU4 should go back to flavor packs, not expansions Posted: 02 May 2021 11:42 AM PDT I know Rule Britannia and Golden Century were controversial, but I honestly think that's what EU4 needs right now. The game is effectively at its technical limit and the only thing that most nations need are more flavor and missions. We don't need a dozen new mechanics to keep the game interesting. I personally feel Leviathan would have been much better if it was just a $9.99 SE Asia flavor pack and ignored everything else. I can see a Scandinavia/Baltic pack coming fairly quickly. Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Teutons, Livonians, and Riga. Add in an actual reason to form Scandinavia and you've got a winner. Middle East could use some work, especially Persia. But I imagine it will be like 1.29 Manchu, free but extra features unlocked with Cradle of Civilization. Ottomans, Mamluks, Persia, Arabia, Egypt, and the various minors. Maybe some Byzantium changes? South and Mesoamercia need some love too. Aztec, Maya, and Inca missions. I like the religious reform system, but add in something so you can reform without Europeans All of Africa needs some work. I imagine a focus on Ethiopia with missions for Mali, Kongo, Timbuktu, Songhai, and Kilwa. [link] [comments] | ||

One positive thing I've noted after leviathan Posted: 02 May 2021 05:53 AM PDT All of these are on Very Hard game difficulty. Europe is WAY more interesting now. I've played around 3 short campaigns (Either quit or my save was corrupted) and i noticed the following things happening: In 2 of the campaigns, England PUd castile at the start, but never really managed to hold their LD down making for an interesting start for colonization In 1 campaign, Novgorod beat up Muscovy and became russia. In the other 2 of them Muscovy took its time being barely able to beat novgorod that had allies with lithuania or denmark/sweden In 2 campaigns, Denmark peacefully let Sweden go with both being ruled by Wittelsbach dynasty and them being staunch allies launching wars into Novgorod and Baltics together Ottomans and Mamluks are 50/50 on which one is going to gain an advantage in the initial years of the game With the iberia in chaos, Tunis is launching campaigns to grab mediterranean islands easily Similarly, with iberia in chaos Naples is really really strong... Until the ottomans come knocking for their italian territory. In my latest colonial dithmarschen campaign (sadly corrupted, i hope i can continue it ironman come next hotfix), Aragon PUd castile and then PUd Portugal, both before either of them getting their first idea set leading to neither of them picking exploration or expansion, with castile only expanding via their colonist idea. It seems to me like the AI is making serious use of curry favors and the related favor mechanics leading to a more diplomatically chaotic world in which the balance of power in europe can look drastically different every campaign. As a player, the "Reduce opinion" is my favorite button. When Iberia seems to be getting along a bit too well I always make portugal and castile enemies with each other. However, and this has been going since 1.30, I feel the reformation is kinda weak now. Rarely I see nations convert and even more rarely i see a succesful or a white peace 30 years wars.
