How would I lower my average autonomy to less than 15% when I'm this huge? Otherwise, I'm just blocked out of France's most interesting missions?

Why is the AI so brutal when you're losing a war?

    Posted: 17 Dec 2021 12:52 PM PST

Like, when you are winning, you have to get at least 90% before they accept 100% peace deals, but when they're beating me up, they demand 97% with 57% warscore. Like WTF. Of course I give them what they want, because unlike them, I'm not dumbass that ruins their entire country and stays sieged for 10 years because it saves me 3 provinces. Probobaly better this way to make the game more challenging, but it's annoying as hell in the moment.

New Ottoman Tree! Flavor Universalis Dev Diary 18/12/2021

Hey everyone, another week another dev diary with more spicy details for the Ottomans! Last week we took a look at the African/Egyptian conquests of the Empire. This week, we will delve into an interesting part of the tree: Conquest in the Middle East, Persia & Arabia! Before we get into it, feel free to join our Discord Community here and subscribe to the mod here.

Now that's out of the way, here's the new part of the tree, revealed here:

Behold, a new part of the tree!

God's Gift; Baghdad was once the centre for Islamic Scholarly studies, it shall shine once more!

Performing a pilgrimage to Tabriz, a vital city of trade and piety in the depths of the Qara Qoyunlu will grant a new type of advisor and level up the local Great Project!

Securing the Talar River fires the event titled 'A City of Silk and Gold' which can (if you choose to) commence the construction of a new hidden dynamic great project, if you choose to invest in it!

While the mission 'The Land Between' allows you to secure Basrah and the Persian Gulf by expanding Basrah's Estuary and Center of Trade, Deposing the Safavids grants a unique and very powerful new mechanic reward:

20% chance that every dev click will yield an extra point of the same development (numbers are wip!)

Much like the Silk Markets of Sari, the Hormuz Toll appears dynamically during the mid-game. Similarly, you can't see it as the game starts unless you complete its mission!

Dynamic rewards at their finest! The event grants you a powerful cavalry bonus or a boost at the loyalty of the Janissaries

The Caspian Capital will serve as a vital link for commercial control in Ashtrakan and Crimea!

Lucrative Chinaware trade in the 'Trade with the Far East' mission! If Trade Goods Expanded is active, the goods will instead be Jade!

The final commerce-related mission of the tree 'Imperial Fabrics' grants a fat bonus to every fabric-related province's goods produced (even if you have Trade Goods Expanded active) and a sturdy Trade Efficiency reward!

Reuniting the Fragments of the Caucasus' Georgian lands will allow you to either \"relocate\" the local Armenian and Georgian populations into work camps across Anatolia or accept their people as brethren and learn from them, gaining a good Construction Cost bonus as well as some allocated development!

Convert the Caucasus and gain powerful local modifiers, an administrative boost and a powerful new advisor (with Advisors Expanded)

Or tolerate them and gain tremendous development in the Caucasus region!

Thank you for taking the time to read through the Dev Diary! Next week we will touch upon the first part of European Conquest into the Balkans and the declaration of the new Roman Empire.

On another note, Flavor Universalis just reached 20,000+ Subscribers and 51,000+ Unique Visitors as well as 2,000 + positive ratings, thank you all, you are wonderful <3

How did you learn to play this title?

I just got the game, seems pretty cool and full with content, but it seems like you need a damn master's degree to play it.
