Why doesn't the A.I upgrade forts Posted: 22 Jul 2021 11:34 PM PDT I know that the HRE minors seem to upgrade forts alot, but for major nations, I never see them do it. The Ottomans are running around with level 2 forts in 1800, which get sieged by me in less than 100 days. And its not like the A.I can't afford it. Ottomans, France, Russia, etc are running around with 750,000- 1 million troops while running at a surplus of almost 100 ducats. The OPMs of HRE always upgrade their forts to maximum level. I don't mind it, cause wars are easy asf like this, but it just feels weird, that in 1800s, countries like France stil have castles to defend their lands, even though historically star forts and more advanced forts were used. Why the kingdom of Tlemcen is super underrated and not cared about by paradox ? Posted: 23 Jul 2021 09:23 AM PDT As an Algerian i see that in general north african nations are underrated as whole , But Tlemcen is on top ,They didn't get special unit uniform like Tunis and Morocco , They have less development compared to the two despite having the biggest population in north africa at that time and controlling the salt-gold route that passes mostly through Tlemcen(Which also should give them a trade node) and much more in reality they used to gain over 800.000 golden coin through economy yearly bigger than Tunis , and much more they were weakened purposely ,Like regions, Tlemcen in the mid 15th century ruled as far as Bejaia in the east (Kabylia in the game which they gave it to tunis despite the historical inaccuracy) and controlled the region of Zab which included Biskara,Aures and Laghouat which again gave it to several other kingdoms which weren't supposed to exist until the kingdom of Tlemcen collapse in the late 15th century (1490-1500) due to civil war and Spanish raids ,and they even had control over the region of Tuat which again isn't included (they sent many conquest in the region building castles and palaces still standing to this day and even establishing companies there), and what's more frustrating is that Paradox gave Tunis and Morocco special achievements and missions while Tlemcen isn't and much more some achievements that are supposed to be only Algerian (Like Barbarossa's achievement who was an elected Algerian leader who've established the regency of Algiers before demanding Ottoman protection) can be reached by Tunis and Morocco while the opposite is impossible ,The development team could've easily add some special missions to Tlemcen and even Algiers later based on real events like the conquest of Tafilalt/Sijilmasa which happened in history several times or even the conquest of Tunis which also existed as an attempt that failed because of Morocco's intervention and so on , And before ending this I have to point to the military and navy , Historically speaking Tlemcen was toe to toe against Tunis and supposedly they should have the same amount of army which is still accurate as Tlemcen was as strong as Tunis but have a smaller army compared to Morocco ,For navy a nation like Tlemcen that had several naval wars with Aragon and won many of them attempting to raid Iberian coasts and protecting their trade in the Mediterranean sea they are pretty much weak even Grenada is stronger than them they should fix this(and also historically Tlemcen and Grenada had a long lasting alliance that only ended when Grenada fell so the can add this if they want to) ,So give me your opinions about this and do you think the same or not [link] [comments] | ||

Any way to change a colonial nation's culture? Posted: 23 Jul 2021 11:50 AM PDT Playing as Baguette, and I Now when the colony creates new colonies (boy that's an awkward sentence) the culture is Portuguese, and Francien is an accepted culture in French La Plata, rather than the primary culture. I don't see an option to "Force culture" but I could have sworn it was an option somewhere... [link] [comments] |
