    Tip: After a tag switch, you can get your CNs to match your color by changing what type of colony they are

    I know CNs not changing their color after a tag switch bothers a lot of people, myself included. I found out in a Japan game recently you can now change that. As a daimyo I made a CN in Australia. After I formed Japan I had 2 CNs in California & Mexico. So the Australia CN didn't match the Japan color while the other 2 did. Later on I wanted to get The Power of Three achievement (own one of each colonial type: Crown Colony, Private Enterprise, & Self-Governing Colony), so I switched Australia's CN type and found their color changed to match mine.

    Dont get me wrong, for players wo like playing as the natives its great.

    But playing a colonial Nation now feels kinda wortless and not worth it. You can go for South America just fine but NA having 10 native duchy tribes with 20-30 dev provinces with heavey ships is a joke.

    And even in Tech they arent even far behind.. usually only 2-3 techs deppending on there rulers and the AI will spread instituations there fast enough.

    ​

    You dont even need colonists anymore cause everything is taken by the natives, just build Soldiers and prepare for massive coalitions from them.

    I dindt even buy Leviathan but those patches really ruined colonalism for me.

    I found an exploit. With Milan, if you pick the military dictatorship, you can get revolutionnaries via an event.

    Is it just me or is the Age of Revolutions extremely underwhelming?

    I entirely anticipated that, being the Revolutionary era, the age would be more intense. Instead, one or two states become revolutionary and basically no one fights them. Especially since I tend to have far less wars in the Age of Absolutism, it's a bit underwhelming for an end to the game.

    Is there some DLC that fixes this? I'm not looking to buy it if so — I'm just wondering why the hell no one else talks about it. (Probably because it's really late game and I typically don't go late game unless I'm doing a mega campaign, but y'kno)
