On the opinion map mode the country you have selected is showing that "/country_name/ loves themselves!" . A nice feature.

Pointers/priorities for taking control of the HRE as a minor?

    Posted: 13 Jan 2021 12:42 PM PST

I know more or less how to HRE as Austria. And I can manage it as Broheems, or Brandyballs. I could probably also make it work as France or Poland.

It's another matter to do so as, say:

    -Aachen
    -Nuremberg
    -Mantua
    -Cleves
    et al.

I know what is required to steal the mantle of the HRE, and to progress through the reforms. I know that you need to:

    -gain and maintain prestige
    -increase your diplo rep
    -ally electors
    -grow strong
-take land in as many parts of the empire as possible so that you can declare on the CoRs when the time comes
    -expand the empire outward
-suppress the power of Austria and any other large competitor

But the problem is in the realizing those sometimes contradictory aims.

If I absorb my neighbors, I ruin my relations. If I don't grow, I can't fight the reformation. If I kill other princes, IA growth decreases.

What are some pointers for navigating the dozen things that all need to be done at once?
