    Hello once again! Verinity Void here aka Silver Knight of Anor Londo bringing you the next update to National Ideas Expanded: 2.3, Desires of the World! Now those of you who use my mod regularly might think 'Aren't you going to run out of work at some point?' and to those people I say, probably not! Update 2.3: Desires of the World really put forth more possibilities for me to pursue with NIE and also allowed me to cover up some holes in previous updates, specifically around some minor tags that I forgot about.     Let's get on to the update then: As we can see above, South America has had some attention paid to it. Originally, this update was going to only focus on South American natives, but with the quarantine coming into effect earlier in the year and my focus shifting slowly around the world, South America did not become the sole focus of mine. I did give it plenty of work though, as you can see, with places like Ichma and Quito and Cajamarca getting reworked National Ideas. There are still a few down there that I cannot find any information on (like Wanka and Huyla) so if you have any clue about their history and such, contact me please!     West Africa was a bit left out in the dry when I first attempted it, unfortunately. Paradox did a very poor job representing the region as a whole and so when I first came upon it, I was struggling to really pick up the pieces they left on the ground and follow them back to their source. Fortunately though, with the help of the Africa Universalis Modding Community, I was able to get credible information on historical states/groups of people that came to form what we know in-game as Segu, Yao, Macina, Nupe, and a few others. Of course, the only formable in West Africa needed work too, so I went in and did some digging on the Sokoto Caliphate and ended up redoing their national ideas as well and also making them formable at a much earlier point (must be in the Mande Culture Group). Alongside Sokoto, Air (the Agadez Sultanate) got their national ideas reworked as well.

    To finish off my part in this Dev Diary, we peer across the world to see new and more grand sights. In Europe, I have taken it upon myself to fully redo the National Ideas of the PLC. Sure, the Polish Ideas were nice and pretty fucking good overall, but you never got a new set when you formed the Commonwealth. So, now you do! And it varies depending on if you form the Commonwealth as Poland or Lithuania! A similar story is had over in Spain where you will garner somewhat different national ideas depending on who you form Spain as (it dependent on Primary Culture, such as Portuguese, Galician, Castilian, etc.). Now if you form Spain as Catalonia or Aragon, you get a slightly personalized set of ideas for yourself. And lastly, Tibet is where we end off since I had a wonderful time reading about Tibetan history and how the various schools of Tibetan Buddhism worked on the surface of things. The Tibetan minors all get their own unique NI set whilst Tibet itself now has a reworked NI set all unto itself. Let's also not forget those pesky neighbors to the north, Sarig Yogir and Kara Del, for they too have not been left out. Those two along with Kokand are the last three to get grouped in with being included in this patch of National Ideas Expanded... And there are three special nations that had their national ideas reworked in full, but ill leave that for you to find out.

    One final note for this update is that the formable nations are no longer inside National Ideas Expanded. The Maghreb, Russian Republic, Wokou, and others are currently being moved over to Formables Expanded and as such will no longer be in National Ideas Expanded at all.

    In real life, the Teutons were defeated and reduced to a vassal like in EU4. Then, like 100ish years later, they joined with Brandenburg and formed Prussia. This NEVER happens in EU4 due to the mechanics of the game, so I am proposing a semi-scripted event for Brandenburg and the Teutons so they form Prussia. This will not only help human players, but also the AI, who almost never forms Prussia. I don't really know the details, but this would be a nice feature! I'm fairly new to EU4, so yeah, you can comment down ideas about the details of this event.
