    Especially if you lose! It doesn't make sense: A coalition forms because they are angry about your recent conquests. They fight you, beat you, and force you to release some of your land.

    AND THEN ARE JUST AS ANGRY WITH YOU AS BEFORE.

    Why doesn't agreeing to release nations or return cores lower your AE with the coalition? I'm tired of losing barely to a coalition, releasing a couple things, and while I'm trying to recover the truce runs out and BAM, they are all in a coalition again because fuck me I guess, there was literally no point in making me give my land away if they are going to keep coming back. It's very disheartening and makes it so if you lose one war you feel like you've gone down a rabbit hole and have no hope of recovery, so you end your run prematurely.

    Even if you WIN it should go down. The coalition formed and triggered because they were sure they could BEAT you. There should be some option in the peace deal like "recognize superiority" or smth that decreases your AE with the coalition (I get that it can't be too much).

    It just feels unrealistic the way coalitions work now, plus they really punish people who lose one war. One war shouldn't be the difference between quitting your run or not, there are plenty of empires who lost multiple wars and eventually came back stronger.

    I fucked up and bought three copies cause I wasn't paying attention and instead of waiting for the refund to take forever cause of quarantine, I figure I'd offer them here as a thank you to those people sorting by new and answering the many questions from new players like me who have hundreds of questions it seems like. Or maybe for those new players like me enjoying the game still looking to expand their collection. Either works!
