Decided about a week ago to buy the DLC pass and give the game a go as Brandenburg -> Prussia -> Germany with all the new features and holy shit what's happened to this game?

-half of North America has not been colonised by 1800 because the natives formed super nations and the ai simply never tried to invade them

-almost every single country in the world from Australian aboriginals to mongol hordes are at max 2-3 tech and one institution behind at any given time

-the ai has very bizarre focuses, for example Muscovy allied Ryazan and couldn't form Russia until almost 1750

-the ottomans didn't conquer Constantinople until 1580

-France by the end of the game had made no effort to take even Brittany and wasn't a gp

-Ming is chilling, never collapsed or had internal issues

It's just not very fun to map paint when the other countries are almost completely static. Anyone else have a similar experience?

edit: why am i getting downvoted im genuinely curious what the move is with the game, whats been broken by leviathan, whats been a long time issue, what im missing and isnt broken at all etc
