From the start I've used the following "tiers" of templates:

40 regiments: 24 infantry, 8 cavalry, 8 cannons
20 regiments: 12 infantry, 4 cavalry, 4 cannons
10 regiments: 6 infantry, 2 cavalry, 2 cannons
5 regiments: 3 infantry,1 cavalry, 1 cannon

I've found that they work very well, and I've been winning most of my battles and wars with these templates; but what are some that you have used/what are the best templates?
