Missions Expanded 07.02.2021 Monferrat, the Italian Palaiologos

Hey Eu4 Enthusiasts! The time has come for another Missions Expanded Dev Diary.Today we will take a look at Montferrat, nations that is known the most thanks to their dynasty, who it shares with Byzantium. Presented by Melvasul, Montferrat is sure to give you a ride.

    Montferrat

Hello everyone and welcome back to another Mission Expanded Development Diary with u/Melvasul94 featuring Monferrat, the Italian Palaiologos.

    https://preview.redd.it/56275lilg4g61.png?width=4096&format=png&auto=webp&s=60209b9b5083b73b5ef18d85dc64bd7394610cb7

The tree for Monferrat is pretty clear and linear in its scope. You will be tasked with creating a strong hold in Northern Italy using both your relative position to important center of trades as well as your vast expansion possibilities.

In the end, you will get to decide your future as this lowly Italian Nation.

Your strength has diminished a lot during the past decades due to both Visconti from Milan and the Savoyards. So, resurge, my dear!

    https://preview.redd.it/8u6pjz5fl4g61.png?width=363&format=png&auto=webp&s=e2bb8e839e4d3f13aa48f92f2eadabf6177ca907

One of your missions within the stability branches will be related to the development of a strong Renaissance School thanks to the help of a greek man (:

That said, you'll need certain key locations in northern Italy before you may claim your mixed heritage.

But let's stop talking about Italy (for now) cause your vision is set in the East.

The siege is lost. Byzantium is lost. The purple phoenix has fallen from the skies and the Balkans in ruin lie, the Ottomans are within, and with them the dark.

We have hid for far too long, it's time to face this threat and overcome the adversities in our fight for the Balkans!

And thus we can see the end of the journey.

You have become the Destroyer of the Italian Lands

You have become the Champion of Christianity

You have risen from the Ashes into a new stronger Roman Empire.

    A new possibility opens up...

Screenshots were done using the Roman Event Window mod.

And this is it for Montferrat for tonight!

    A Small Note

Away from Melva's Montferrat, let's go back to the mod in general.

With real life encroaching, I have decided to temporarily take a step aback and take up a role more resembling of a maintainer, rather than a developer. While I am not sure myself to what scale will I distance myself, one thing is certain. The development of mission trees within the German region and Eastern Europe will slightly slow down due to my hiatus.

    The End

Remember, those numbers are up to change as a result of playtesting. If you have further questions and wish to suggest improvement/see a mistake, let me know in the comments.
