Is it worth it to rush 0% crownland to give out +1 Mana? Posted: 19 Jan 2021 10:11 AM PST Let's assume you got no or at most a clearly weaker vassal, and let's assume you have less than 5 states (and more than OPM, because for OPM it is worth it in 99% of cases because all you lose is a little taxation). You start the game and instantly grant all 3 privileges for mana. The autonomy will slow down your Government reform progress, and you will also get significantly less tax income. But if you consider the monthly cost compared to advisors you can't afford, I think it's worth it. Depending on your size, tax income loss is likely much less than 1g/month, and the autonomy scales up slowly, so you actually only see the negative effects much later. In best case, you get the event that grants 25% min. autonomy for a few years and gives you back your crownland, and else you'd have slowly creeping autonomy for around 15-20 years until you get back that crownland while you gain 540-720 mana in that time window. I mean, yes, it's a significant part of your early income, but relative to what you would normally be willing to invest for mana, I think it's not a bad tradeoff. Imo that is surely worth it, isn't it? Heck, if you conquer land or change capital (e.g. instead of trade port which can be a nice trick if you wanted to do that anyways), you can easily outweigh the lowered autonomy and crownland with the annexed land. Another thing I like to do, is keep the autonomy at 20-30% to get the Mana early. That's just some tax money, as vassal loyalty is pretty irrelevant that early unless you start with many of them. In this case, it feels like 100% worth it for any nation (except maybe Teutonic Order). Or am I missing something? Is it worth it almost every time, like I think it is, or is it not? I didn't crunch numbers for this issue, so feel free to tell me that I am completely misjudging the whole situation, if I am ^^ [link] [comments]
Anyone else having problems with the new launcher not loading? Posted: 19 Jan 2021 12:18 PM PST Every time I try to run Eu4, it comes up with a JavaScript error and it's annoying because literally an hour ago it was fine but then it wanted to update and now I can't play at all lol [link] [comments]
