Hello, my name is /u/UberEpicZach, and I would love to announce the formal release of Flavour and Events Expanded, a new addition to the Expanded Mod Family!

Three months ago, I had formally announced the development of this mod here in a dev diary like this one, but that isn't to say the mod has had three months of development. We have been working to deliver a mod to the community for everyone to enjoy, a mod that can work alongside any other mod, not a total overhaul (Even then our generic events would still work). A mod that tries to bring the great histories of Europe and beyond to paper, That works to deliver entertaining content while filling the gap left by Paradox.

Flavour and Events Expanded takes strong inspiration from other Paradox Games such as Crusader Kings, and from old colossal projects such as the Event Exchange Project back in the era of "Europa Universalis" or even Historical Events Extended in the early Europa Universalis 4 days.

Talking about Historical Events Extended - working with the permission of Voffvoffhunden, We over on the FEE Team have reworked over 300+ events from Historical Events Extended into Flavour and Events Expanded.

Moving onto the core of FEE, Many of our features have changed or had entire new additions in ways since we have last discussed Flavour and Events Expanded in a Dev Diary, as point in note - the previously noted Succession System from Nacho has been put on hold.

Features of Flavour and Events Expanded

With tweaks to prices, mana and with new additions since the reveal Dev Diary, Heir Education is a system which revolves around sending your Heir to various prestigious institutions across the continent, or if tight on money and resources, a tutor could do great.

At the moment many plans are in development to further add flavour to the system, including guiding your Heir through education if your son or daughter seems to be doing poorly, with many way's to guide your Heir to perfection.

Along with the addition of highly in-depth event chains to help depict certain historical events and the addition of hundreds upon hundreds of National, Events comes more "Age" generic events as your country changes through the eras of the Renaissance and the Enlightenment.

Sticking with the theme of generics brings us to Advisor Events.

Advisor events are events specific to advisor type - having a diplomatic advisor might prompt some diplomatic advisor events, in which you might be prompted things like getting your ruler to learn other languages among other things. A Military advisor might prompt you with events about furthering military advancements or finding a young and upcoming commander. A Master of Coin or a treasurer might teach you the ways of stewardship and henceforth - events to bring out the flavour in your monthly mana tick.

Other features include the re-integration of an older Expanded Family Mod, adding flavour to FEE that isn't specifically events. That mod would be Insults Expanded, adding new insults into the game, or Lord Varangians other mod, Child of Destiny adding less than a 1% chance for nations of less than 150 dev - to gain a reputable heir to (possibly) lead them out of the shadows.

Stop posting your screenshot of your 6 6 6 or 6 5 6 heir or ruler, it's nice to have it in game but it's not that rare and just looks like junk spam in the subreddit
