How to get the Papacy indefinitely for free! Posted: 31 Jul 2020 07:30 AM PDT I haven't got a picture because I'm on my phone but I stumbled across something. I'm not sure if you need to be Curia Controller but I was at the time in my Austria game. What you do is annex Rome from OPM Papal State (presumably whilst you have Curia Control) and then wait for the event to release Rome as a state for the Pope via the event that fires within 2 months, the Papal State will then return with a much younger, new Pope, and your invested influence remains the same. In short: get Curia Controller and have the Papal State as an OPM, then annex and release (also removes malice $$) them via the event. I've held the Papacy for the last 120 years without using any influence. The only downside is that you need to attack the Pope roughly every 20 years but in that time you hold onto valuable influence to spend on other things. Please comment any further details that people can find, I've only tested this a couple times. [link] [comments] | ||
