It always bugged me when you would name your french heir Philippe it would just become Philippe I where as in real life there had been 6 Philippes of France. Also if you gave them a double name eg. Louis Philippe it would Become Louis Philippe I and not Louis X Philippe.

I just found out how to rectify this. You name the heir eg. "Louis #12" without the "

He would end up as Louis XIII

Or Louis #12 Philippe would become Louis XIII Philippe

I hope this helps anyone with the same annoyances

Edit: You can't go backwards though eg. France starts with Charles VII. If you call the heir Charles #2 it would just become Charles VIII.

Edit 2: This also works with nicknames eg. "Louis #13 le Roi Soleil" ofcourse without the " would become Louis XIV le Roi Soleil
