"War Against the World" makes Pirate Republics amazing in 1.30 Posted: 15 Jul 2020 09:00 AM PDT If you don't know, Pirates get a government reform called "War against the World". This is effectively a reskin of Imperialism, allowing you to declare war on any nation in the world and take provinces for 75% cost and AE. It even beats Imperialism by making return core cost half the diplo points. But before this patch you still had to wait until tech 23, making it pretty much worthless. But in 1.30 you unlock the CB as soon as you get your 5th tier government reform. And since republics get double reform progress with high Republican Authority you can easily unlock "Imperialism" in the early-mid 1500. If you want to try it, New Providence or Port Royal are great for dominating the new world. If your prefer Europe, Cornwall and Rügen now get events to turn into Pirate Republics for free. (Although Rügen does NOT get Pomeranian missions, even upon forming Pomernaia itself) tl;dr - Pirates get Imperialism 100 years early. [link] [comments] | ||
