    Survived 450% Overextension

    Posted: 21 Sep 2021 10:25 AM PDT

It was a normal day in Russia during the mid 1700s. The wars have subsided for now with the signing of the latest peace deal - taking swathes of Ming territory. Just months ago all of Brandenburg was taken for the glorious Empire, and land was gained in India after crushing the fires of Revolution.

But oh? What's this? 450% overextension? dog in house surrounded by fire meme this is fine right??

    Oh boy.

I had literally millions of rebels. Russian Revolutionaries alone were about a million - luckily my 400 Dev capital was somewhat safe from rebelling, sitting at just +2 unrest. I myself only had about 1.4 million troops. Aside from the revolutionaries it was a contant bombard of pop-ups telling me whatever nation I conquered a century ago is now rebelling with separatists. Sweden, Denmark, Brandenburg, Poland, Lithuania, Ryazan, hundreds of thousands of different Chinese separatists, Korea, Oirat, and hundreds of thousands more across Iran and India. There were so many millions of them, it was insane. I actually had to slacken troops thrice to have enough manpower to survive.

Slowly but surely though, I sent in the stacks to wipe one rebel at a time. Carefully wiping one rebellion after the next. Constantly clicking "okay" on the barrage of pop-ups, while my level 5 admin advisors kept leaving office due to stress. We manage to get OE down to 350, 300, 200, 150, 80

And finally, down to zero. Peace, across the Empire. All that was lost were 4 provinces in Sri Lanka. And of course, over 2 million troops, and however many Rebels.

Honestly that was the worst OE I've ever dealt with, and I wasn't trying to get a World Conquest (I don't think I even could honestly, I'm not sure how). What's the worst OE you guys have dealt with?

    Choosing a Nation

    Posted: 21 Sep 2021 11:30 AM PDT

With hundreds of nations available in this game, I'm curious about how people choose who to play as. There are some obvious choices, of course, but I've also seen people playing as one of the many small German states or some nation in East Asia or pre-Columbian America. What makes you choose one of those instead of a big power like England or Castile?
