Missions Expanded Dev Diary 21.02.2021 New Prussia Tree Pt.2!

Hey everyone! In last week's dev diary I talked about the brand new Prussian Tree and the content related to the conquest, religion and the great power status. I also announced that today I would share the tall part of the mission tree, a promise that I will uphold. So, without further ado, let's get right into it.

    Reminder from last week!

If you haven't yet, I highly encourage reading the dev diary from last week regarding the other half of the Prussian missions!

    You can find it here.

Furthermore, check out the Brandenburgian tree dev diary too, it can be found here.

    The Missions

Let's begin with some missions focused around the development of Prussia proper. Here I will highlight the King's Mountain mission, based around the Schlosskirche, building, in which many Prussian coronations would be held.As a reward, an event will fire that will allow you to exchange part of your income for a meagre bonus. The cost is scaled with your size, so don't be discouraged by the price you see presented here!

    https://preview.redd.it/4ci0m69ltui61.png?width=963&format=png&auto=webp&s=eb7a3e403907604478993abba6a1510e9743e4b4

Next up is the Prussian Main mission, one that offers you an interesting reward that makes developing less taxing and more profitable within your core territories.

    https://preview.redd.it/80275hd9uui61.png?width=890&format=png&auto=webp&s=ab5760b795532cdce3d54cbdf8847f89c3e038b3

Now, to the branch regarding Berlin and territories surrounding it, let's gaze at the Potsdamer Glashutte mission.

    https://preview.redd.it/7hamu3wsuui61.png?width=680&format=png&auto=webp&s=88be77334b0fe9e1a196afafc9721f50ab06d3d1

Let us take a look at the industrial tree and the mission at the forefront of it, Kickstart the Industry.

    https://preview.redd.it/s9hztb21wui61.png?width=810&format=png&auto=webp&s=730795943f931914a54faa07af936be6700b0e0c

As a reward, every province with a Workshop or a Counting House gets a temporary bonus to local goods produced and a random province that completes the latter requirement gets a permanent local development cost reduction, making expanding the iron industry over there quite lucrative!

Further are the missions regarding the two most important industrial areas of the Prussian State, Silesia and Rhineland.

    https://preview.redd.it/k81rr843kvi61.png?width=932&format=png&auto=webp&s=5454fd35e13f1d7bf202dd48404bda773e90d050

Now, let's take a lower part of the Tall mission tree.

On the left side we can see a mini branch covering the law reform, the emancipation of peasants and the development of various academic institutions in Berlin.

    https://preview.redd.it/ew393umhyui61.png?width=987&format=png&auto=webp&s=2445d290facf272e7d8542378ba7096c4eca976e

Now, the right tree that focuses about the growth of trade and urbanization within Prussia.

Besides the The Amber Coast mission showcased as the teaser for this week's dev diary, I also have more to present for this part! The two missions on the right, The Search for Bargains and Baltic Trade are focused around the financial ventures of your traders in the Lubeck trade node.

Later on, we have a mission about Free Trade.

Now, let us take a look at a mission about a feature that is underutilized by the Prussian players.

    https://preview.redd.it/55s38jr24vi61.png?width=926&format=png&auto=webp&s=73cb161bbac377b25d78fbaddd19826fcfec1093

Now, let's take a step back and take a look at the Urbanisierung mission.

    https://preview.redd.it/up95j0fc7vi61.png?width=802&format=png&auto=webp&s=b819a3f6854b66f60912e301a41060327719e509

In addition to the regular reward, the mission will allow urbanization events to fire. These do not fire commonly, but they certainly help with the growth of your weakest provinces.

Now, let's take a look at the Canals across the Land mission.

    Would this be possible?

I've for a long while now wondered if it would be possible to run the game 100x over from the start to the end date and have a computer program that counts what country controlled every province the most.

I think it would be interesting to see what an "average" EU4 campain would look like.

Any modders out there that would know if this is possible?
