Suggestion on how to make navy relevant Posted: 17 Oct 2020 12:57 PM PDT After playing for some time now and reading some post about how utterly useless navy I think there is a simple solution. Historically navy was really important because it was needed to secure trade route and goods coming from colonies and other parts of the world. So what I suggest is to be able to block a trade node and just take away all its power in time of war as it does not make sense to me how a nation that is blockaded can still push trade power into its node. For example i could just play spain without creating a single heavy all i need to do is build some transport, send troops to colonies and in a war against GB even though his heavies are blockading me i still get trade income which is ridiculous and impossible irl cause how can your trade goods arrive when you are being blockade. I think what should happen is when you are being blockade any oversea trade income pushed into your home node need to all be stop so you would lose hundred of ducats and i feel that would really capture why you need a strong navy to maintain a colonial empire cause as of right now it is completely useless.
