That awkward conversation - Explaining EUIV to a casual gamer Posted: 10 Mar 2020 01:02 PM PDT Has anyone else had these conversations? Something along the lines of: Random: "Oh you play games too, what's your favourite?" Me: "Europa Universalis IV is easily my favourite" Random: "Never heard of it, what's that about?" Me: "It's a grand strategy game - probably one of the most complex strategy games there is" Random: "Is it like Age of Empires?" Me: "Ummmm, kind of....... have you heard of the Civilization series?" Random: "No" Me (in thoughts): "Let's change the subject" How do you explain EUIV? Where do you even begin??? I generally change the subject and talk about games i used to play, like Battlefield (up to 4), or Left 4 Dead etc. I just don't play much else thesedays. [link] [comments] |
